Now that a key threshold in the de-Europeanization of America has been crossed, how are the race-blind conservatives reacting?

I invite readers to send me any interesting articles they have seen showing the responses of liberals and particularly of mainstream conservatives to the news that white births are now a minority in the U.S. I’ve already read Thomas Sowell’s column on the subject, and found it disappointing. But since I almost always find Sowell disappointing (seeing one part of the truth, but never the whole picture, and never with any follow-through), I guess I can’t say I was disappointed.

I have read nothing from mainstream conservatives about this depressing milestone and doubt that we will, even though white minority status will mean the death of real conservatism as well as the GOP. Nothing will be done to limit drastically the tide of legal immigration from the Third World, the only thing that could conceivably slow or halt our demise. Mainstream conservatives are worthless when it comes to conserving anything.

Leftist storm troopers in America

A bizarre event occurred yesterday afternoon in the Chicago suburb of Tinley Park. As reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, a gang of 18 men wearing hooded jackets with scarves covering their faces invaded the Ashford House restaurant and assaulted a particular group of about 20 patrons with metal batons and hammers. Reading the story, which says nothing about race, you would assume from their hoodies that the invaders were black. But that’s not the case. As reported further by Fox News in Chicago, the attackers were not blacks but a group of self-described “anti-racists” and “anti-fascists” called the Anti-Racist Action Group, all of them white, and the victims were white nationalists associated with neo-Nazi website Stormfront.

This could be a one-off incident, or it could be a signal event in modern American history. These leftist storm troopers are starting by attacking a group for whom few will have sympathy—neo-Nazis of the Stormfront variety. But why should they stop there? Their next logical target would be a meeting of American Renaissance readers, then a meeting of VFR readers, then anyone who has non-liberal views on race, or, indeed, anyone who the left believes has non-liberal views on race. Remember: many liberals say that the real reason Republicans and tea partiers oppose the stimulus and Obamacare is that Obama is black. Thus, in the mind of the left, all conservatives are racists, and thus, in the mind of the group that carried out the attack yesterday, all conservatives are legitimate targets of anti-racist, storm-trooper violence.

Filipino Christian youth group protests “Lady Gaga”

The other day, in response to the barring of “Lady Gaga” from performing in Indonesia, Robert Spencer wrote:

Modern, moderate Indonesia is not moderate enough to tolerate this “envoy of the devil’s child.”

Meaning that a truly modern and moderate Muslim country, the kind of which Spencer himself would approve, would allow “Lady Gaga” to perform there. I said that Spencer’s implied preference for the freedom of “Lady Gaga” to perform in Indonesia over the moral good of the Indonesian society that seeks to exclude such filth from its culture shows that he remains at bottom a liberal.

But now, reports the AP,

Christian young people in the Philippines protested Saturday against upcoming concerts by Lady Gaga despite organizers’ assurances that her performances would not threaten morality.

About 200 Christian youths marched in Manila for a second straight day, holding placards urging the pop singer to “respect our faith, stop the blasphemy.”

The Biblemode Youth Philippines members plan to hold a vigil starting Sunday near the concert venue. They said they are offended by Lady Gaga’s music, particularly her song “Judas,” which they said mocks Jesus Christ.

So it’s not just Far Eastern Muslims who don’t like “Lady Gaga,” but Far Eastern Christians as well. And of course Spencer himself is a Christian (though he never seems to introduce a Christian perspective into his writings, and the secular society is his oft-stated ideal). So where does Spencer come down on this? Does he consider the Filipino Christians who would prevent “Lady Gaga” from putting on concerts in their country insufficiently modern and moderate for his tastes? Are they as bad as the anti-“Gaga” Muslims?

Bottom line: Is Spencer’s guiding principle freedom (including the freedom of “Lady Gaga” to spread her degeneracy to every country in the world), or is it the good? If the former, he’s a liberal; if the latter, he’s a conservative in the true sense.

And I would add this: it is only a conservative Western country, a country that makes the good its highest principle, that can bar from its shores the evil of Islam. A country that makes freedom its highest principle must remain open to everyone and everything, including Islam. And an Islam-critical intellectual who makes freedom his highest principle can never do anything about the Islam threat except to watch it; he is incapable of making or embracing any serious proposals to stop and reverse the fatal spread of Islam amongst us.

An eloquent statement about the insanity of Western women

Aditya B., a regular commenter at VFR, writes at The Thinking Housewife, addressing Laura Wood:

I want to ask you whether you believe that women like Valérie Trierweiler, France’s First Girlfriend, have any sense of self-awareness.

Do these women realize that most non-whites regard all white women as nothing more than a piece of meat? And when confronted by one who looks like she can accessorize her dress with a lamp post and a public defender, most non-whites will not only not take her seriously, they will not take her husband, companion, escort, whatever they call ‘em nowadays seriously. In her case, her country will not be taken seriously, as most non-whites are going to conclude that it is a land of prostitutes, and indeed, they even put one on the highest pedestal of power.

Do you think white women have any idea about these perceptions? Do you think they have the slightest concern, not only for their safety and dignity, but for the safety and dignity of their compatriots?

Has it occurred to half-naked TV hosts, drunken sorority girls and the like, that images of their behavior cause non-white men worldwide to view all white women as whores? Consequently, no white girl is safe abroad.

Are white women just deluded? Or completely stupid? Or a bit of both? Or what? I simply do not understand this behavior.

Another day, another random stabbing

WFAA in Dallas/Fort Worth reports:

Man accused of stabbing random shopper

DALLAS – A Dallas man remains in jail after police say he randomly stabbed a shopper inside a Target store.

Police say Antowann Davis, 30, walked into the Target on Marsh Lane around 9:15 p.m. Thursday and took a butcher knife out of its packaging in the kitchen department.

Antowann Davis: He could have been a
Supreme Court justice or a theoretical
physicist, if it wasn’t for white racism.
Instead he became a random stabber.

Martha Jones, 29, said she was browsing inside the store when Davis walked past her and shoved the knife into her lower back.

“I felt something behind me,” said Jones, a Dallas-based lawyer, from her bed at Parkland Memorial Hospital. “He stabbed me in the back and kept walking.”

Now what are the chances Martha Jones is black?

Almost zero. Because in every single one of these “random” attacks by blacks,—i.e., an attack on a stranger done for no other reason than to cause death or grievous bodily harm—the victim is white, and in a few cases Asian. Which means that the attacks are not random, doesn’t it?

And as for my characterization of the liberal view of race in the photo caption, it’s no exaggeration. It’s exactly what liberal believe. Say to any liberal that you think it’s ridiculous to believe that the reason blacks are behind is white racism. Far from agreeing with you, the liberal will affirm that it’s white attitudes toward blacks that keep blacks down.
